Require weekly head lice checks in schools and treatment before returning — 33 signatures. Status: open.
We ask the Government to make weekly head lice checks compulsory in all schools. Children found with live head lice should be sent home until treatment has begun. Parents must be informed immediately, and schools should have clear rules to prevent further infestations.
Head lice are a recurring problem in schools. Many parents regularly treat their children, but repeated infestations continue when others remain untreated. Weekly checks and compulsory treatment could reduce the spread, protect children and encourage greater parental responsibility.
