Many families care for elderly relatives, like grandmothers, at home. Carers—often daughters and granddaughters—must cut working hours or quit jobs, causing severe financial hardship. I call on the government to: Reward family carers: Provide fair financial allowances directly to family members providing care. Allow shared care: Enable financial support to be split when multiple family members share caregiving duties. Ease poverty risks: Ensure looking after a loved one at home is fair.
