We want the Government to abolish the statutory close season for coarse fishing on rivers. We believe the river fishing closed season is outdated and needs to be abolished. We are concerned it could create financial hardship for the angling industry and affect the economy.

We think it's a big negative for those who can't afford still waters and rely on river angling for mental health.
