Require the Government to review and reform automated, psychometric and game-based assessments used in graduate recruitment. Employers should use fair, transparent and accessible methods that assess skills relevant to the role, rather than rejecting graduates based on unsuitable assessment systems.
Graduate recruitment increasingly uses automated assessments, such as Arctic Shores, before candidates can reach an interview. Graduates can spend hours completing applications and assessments only to be rejected by an automated system, making the process unnecessarily long and frustrating. These assessments may not accurately identify the best candidate and can create an unfair barrier to employment.
