We want the Government to make online weight-shaming of medical conditions a specific offence to protect individuals with weight-related medical conditions from targeted online bullying and harassment.

Additional details

Online abuse of people with weight-related medical conditions can cause severe anxiety, stress, & mental health issues. This harassment can force victims into isolation, making them afraid to leave their houses. Tragically, some people who have experienced cyberbullying have taken their own lives. It can spread endless conflict online and some victims are completely ignored and not being heard. We need a specific criminal offence to stop this abuse & hold trolls legally accountable.
