Criminalise care provider abuse of Skilled Worker license & stop judicial review — 22 signatures. Status: open.
We call for immediate revocation of license to sponsor care workers for companies who have been found to extort or abuse their sponsored staff, without the option for judicial review. This behaviour should be criminalised.
We also call for funding for training for those involved in investigations around care worker license abuse. In my view, health care in the UK has been buttressed by migrant workers since the 1940s. The certificates of sponsorship effectively delegates immigration duties to licensed CQC registered care providers, however some care providers abuse this and breaches the conditions of their license, by extorting or abusing their sponsored staff.
