I would like the government to lift the 3PM Football broadcast blackout so that big football games are accessible for people who can’t afford to go to matches or are unable to attend for other reasons.
Football plays an integral part in the history and culture of the UK. The 3PM football broadcast blackout means that many avid football fans who are unable to attend games cannot be involved in supporting their team as the game is taking place. Many people can’t attend games for all sorts of different reasons, whether they are disabled, live too far from their club, or cannot afford tickets. I think it would be more inclusive, and better for everyone if the blackout was lifted.
