We are calling on our government to consider reducing fuel duty and VAT to help households, workers and businesses struggling with the cost of living. A reduction in price has to come soon to provide relief for families already struggling with the cost of living.
The price of fuel is something that effects everyone, in a time where the cost of living is already reaching record highs. Some families are finding themselves in a position where they have to choose between being able to get to work or putting the heating on at home. This will only get worse as winter approaches if our government doesn't take drastic action. Tax on fuel makes up more than half the at the pump price. Our government has the direct power to change this. And we deserve change.
