Amend Regulation 3 of The State Pension Credit Regulations 2002 to remove all limits on how long a person can receive Pension Credit payments whilst they’re overseas and not in Great Britain.

Additional details

We believe people on Pension Credit should not be treated as prisoners or limited to travel. Regulation 3 of the State Pension Credit Regulations 2002 restricts absence to 4 weeks. We call on the Government to abolish the 4-week restriction so there is no restriction at all. Once entitled, we believe people should be free to travel, visit family, or spend time abroad for as long as they wish. Their support should not stop simply because they leave the country. We believe freedom to travel should not depend on financial support and we call on the complete removal of the limit.
