We ask the UK Government to introduce paid parental leave for parents who need to care for a child at home with a short-term illness such as flu, fever, vomiting or infection.

Additional details

Parents should not have to choose between caring for their child at home and losing income, using annual leave or taking unpaid time off work. Parents may need several days to care for their child or follow medical advice. No parent should have to lose wages, use annual leave or take unpaid time off to care for their child because of a short-time illness.
