Require all education settings to provide education which tackles loneliness and social isolation among young people, which includes providing teaching on communication, relationship building and social connection skills to help reduce loneliness and social isolation.
Loneliness and social isolation are growing issues, particularly among young people. We believe education should play a greater role in helping students develop the confidence, communication and relationship building skills needed to form meaningful social connections. By teaching these skills in schools, colleges and universities, we can help reduce social isolation, improve wellbeing and better equip young people to participate in their communities and build supportive networks throughout life.
