Petition background

We want the Government to integrate a lifelong, interoperable dental record into the NHS App and Single Patient Record, so relevant dental history can follow patients between providers and patients can access their dental history, treatment plans and relevant records in one place.

Additional details

Dental records can remain fragmented when patients move between NHS, mixed and private providers. We believe dental health should be connected to the wider NHS record. An NHS Dental Passport could provide a structured dental history, treatment plans and relevant imaging, while improving NHS/private treatment transparency and supporting future NHS dental booking and access to urgent appointments.
