Petition brought by Liverpool Football Club legend Ian Rush MBE and Justice for Sport. A need for a cross-validated digital supervision trail for complex legal work charged to the NHS and other public bodies, for work undertaken by unauthorised persons under the supervision of authorised lawyers.
If the NHS and public purse pay for supervised legal work, the evidence should prove who did the work, who supervised it, how it was supervised, when it was handed over, who approved it and whether the legal bill accurately reflects that work. The digital trail should cross-check contemporaneous evidence, document metadata, timestamps, version histories, case-management records, communications, time records, handovers and supervisory approvals so that each material stage validates the next.
