I am urging the government to make education about a range of disabilities a part of the PSHE curriculum.

Additional details

Many disabled young people face bullying, staring, social isolation and peers assuming what they can do just from looking at them. This is not young people’s fault. This is because disability education has never been included in PSHE lessons. Disability education will allow young people with disabilities to be able to socialise and work alongside their peers. If everyone has an understanding of disability, they will be able to think critically about and challenge ablest rhetoric.
