Give people the power to vote no confidence in their MP if circumstances change — 8 signatures. Status: rejected.
Give power to the people and allow a vote of confidence in our MP if local circumstances change since their election. If major changes occur within a constituency, and the people are unable to call on their MP to advocate for them, then we should be able to make our voices heard at the ballot box.
We believe this will make the democratic process stronger. By allowing us to elect a leader that will champion our needs more effectively, and provide effective leadership through demanding and difficult times. We believe the current system does not account for MP's that are unwilling, or unable, to effectively lead communities through changes and challenges that directly impact them. Strengthen our democracy and ensure elected MP's are accountable for post-election leadership.
