Passengers may notify airlines in advance, carry emergency medication and request precautions, but decisions can vary between airlines or crews. We believe clear UK-wide standards are needed so airlines can assess and mitigate allergy risks, and passengers are not denied boarding or removed when proportionate safety measures could be used. The rules should protect passengers from discrimination.
