Digital service records vary between manufacturers, and owners can struggle to see what maintenance their own vehicle has received or what is due next. Government should require manufacturers to provide free, online, transferable and printable records, plus a vehicle-specific schedule based on mileage, age, engine, transmission and specification, clearly showing completed and upcoming maintenance.
