Request that housing associations take greater responsibility for addressing and managing the behaviour of their tenants when it negatively affects neighbours and the wider community. Ask the housing associations be held accountable for responding promptly to complaints and investigating concerns
Housing associations should have a duty to ensure that their properties are managed responsibly and that reports of antisocial behaviour, harassment, noise nuisance, or other disruptive conduct are taken seriously. Residents should be able to live in a safe and peaceful environment without ongoing disturbance or being expose to health hazards. Greater accountability will help ensure that neighbourhoods remain safe, respectful, and enjoyable places to live.
