Courtney’s Law - To allow victims of abuse to share their stories online. — 6 signatures. Status: rejected.
I want the government to allow victims of abuse to be able to share their stories online without being charged for harassment. As long as no information that can be used to identity the abuser is disclosed.
Victims of abuse are being arrested and charged with harassment for sharing their abuse stories online. By sharing our stories it brings awareness to warning signs of abuse. As victims of abuse, we are being silenced by police. As long as no gdpa is disclosed we should be able to tell our story to raise awareness as a lot of people don’t know the signs of abuse. I was one of these people and had I heard more stories maybe it would have saved me. Victims of abuse are being treated like criminals
