Cap net migration at 25,000 people per year to stop mass immigration

Cap net migration at 25,000 people per year to stop mass immigration — 13 signatures. Status: open.

Petition background

We call on the Government to establish a cap on net migration levels to 25,000 people per year. We believe current levels of immigration are putting pressure on the NHS (especially GP services), housing and council services, and integration and social cohesion.

Additional details

Between 2015 to 2025, it is estimated that over 8 million immigrated to the UK. These are record levels of immigration. We believe the Government must act and cap net migration at 25,000 people per year in order to control immigration and ensure it reaches more sustainable levels. On 27 July 2026, 69% of people on a YouGov poll said that the Government were handling immigration "Badly".
