Additional details

The European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) protects the United Kingdom from ill treatment. Under the ECHR we are given the right to a fair trial in civil and criminal matters (Article 6). This article is the foundation on which our justice system operates. To eliminate it would create numerous issues regarding the safety of our freedom. The ECHR also outlines other major issues such as the right to life and freedom of thought . To leave would be detrimental to the safety our nation.
