We call on the UK Government to protect independent creators by ensuring future media regulations do not unfairly favour selected news providers on platforms like YouTube. Support transparency, fair competition and equal opportunities for creators of all sizes.

Independent creators have built trusted communities through years of hard work. We support tackling misinformation, but we're concerned that proposals to give greater prominence to selected news providers could reduce the visibility of smaller creators. We call on the UK Government to protect fair competition, viewer choice, and ensure independent creators are consulted before any changes that could affect their livelihoods.
