Police forces should not be focused on targeting people with no tickets on trams — 8 signatures. Status: rejected.
Police forces around greater Manchester should not be focused on tram and bus.Instead, they should be in areas with high crime rates and actually looking out for the public rather than fulfilling services than can be fulfilled by metrolink people. It leaves people in areas that need police in danger.
This issue came to my attention when I saw a multitude of officers centered at Trafford bar tram stop.It became clear to me that police officers are focused on the wrong thing. There were already a lot of metrolink people centered at a multitude of tram stops yet police were still involved waiting for a crime that hadn’t even happened. If metrolink people do not have this power, then they should be granted it.Tram fares should be the least of their concerns.Focusing them on high crime rates decreases crime rate a lot I agree, but there is still too much for comfort
