Make it so the police are not performance lead and improve managing workloads — 7 signatures. Status: rejected.
Abolish Police KPIs, Stop having “incident response times” on Grade 1 and 2 incidents, Stop officers in Response, neighbourhood and proactive teams from holding investigations and have dedicated investigation teams to stop the workload issue in frontline policing
The Police should not be statistically driven. KPIs should be abolished and police officer should not be held accountable for how many arrests/stop searches etc they get over a period of time. The police should not be held accountable to response times. These should be removed as many people are driving quicker and putting more at risk to attend incidents within the required time. Officers in frontline departments should not be holding onto investigations. This should fall to dedicated teams.
