We call on the UK Government to provide dedicated funding for Welsh electrical businesses to recruit and train apprentices. Many employers cannot afford the costs of wages, training, and supervision, resulting in fewer apprenticeship opportunities for young people. This is creating a growing skills shortage in Wales at a time when demand for qualified electricians is increasing. Funding support would help businesses invest in the next generation of skilled workers.
