The uk Goverment allows enforcement officers, to primarily hold homeowners responsible for Building regulations non compliance, regardless of who as done the building constructions works and not complied with Building laws in uk. Building Act 1984, states the builder or building owner, Jointly.
The majority of the publics, largest financial asset, will be their home. We trust the Building trade industry to make improvements to our homes, extensions, additional disable adjustments, etc. There are now too many builders not complying with building regulations. Enforcement orders are against the home owner and not the builders. Costing building owners 14.3 billion in last five years. I want to change legislation, and enforcement orders to be served on the builder and not the homeowner.
