Petition background

Government to mandate that HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) must be available at the pump as a suitable alternative to diesel. This is already available at a handful of fuel forecourts in the UK, which provides a greener and cleaner alternative to diesel.

Additional details

We think this will help the UK to reduce the net CO2 emissions, while reducing the reliance on the volatile and heavily politicised oil markets.
