The Bank of England insists on removing our great Britons like Churchill from our banknotes and replacing them with wildlife. While doing this, they should at least honour the tradition of using animal names for monetary sums. They can do this with new £25 ‘pony’ notes and £500 ‘monkey’ notes.
If the Bank of England does not consider this, they have no sense of humour. The idea could go further: Fiver: £5 - depicted by the rabbit character ‘Fiver’ from Watership Down. Tenner: £10 - depicted by 10 beluga whales which commonly form groups of 10. Score: £20 - pass Pony: £25 - depicted by a pony Ton: £100 - depicted by a 3-year-old elephant which would typically weigh about 1 ton.
