We are calling on the UK Government to introduce a clear, legally defined national standard for the humane slaughter of farm animals, and to require transparent labelling on all meat sold in the UK.

Only with Government support and legislation can the UK public have confidence in the animal meat they are buying was humanely slaughtered with the welfare of the animal taking priority.
