Genuine honey deserves better protection. Let’s preserve its integrity. There are concerns that counterfeit honey floods the market, undercutting real beekeepers and deceiving consumers, and current sugar profiling tests fail to catch sophisticated fraud. We think that DNA testing could ensure authenticity, protecting livelihoods and maintaining fair competition.
